UK Features

What it does — The UK version of Housr is the more established market, with a wider set of features tailored to how student housing works in the United Kingdom. Letting agents list properties, students can bundle their utility bills, and contracts are handled digitally.

Who uses it — Students, Letting Agents, and Admins in the UK

How it works

The UK platform includes everything in the shared feature set (property search, viewings, events, perks, roommate matching) plus the following UK-specific capabilities:

Bills Management

Students can get a bundled utility package covering gas, electricity, water, broadband, and TV licence. The process works like this:

  1. A student selects a bills package for their property
  2. They receive a quote based on the property and number of housemates
  3. Once accepted, Housr manages the utility accounts on the student’s behalf
  4. Students submit meter readings through the app
  5. Billing is handled through a single monthly payment rather than managing multiple providers

Letting Agent Integration

UK properties are listed by letting agents who manage their portfolio through the Housr Portal. Agents can:

  • List and update properties with photos, pricing, and room-level detail
  • Receive and respond to enquiries and viewing requests
  • Chat with students directly
  • Send contracts for e-signature via DocuSign
  • Track maintenance requests

Property Feeds

Housr automatically imports property data from letting agent software so listings stay current without manual entry. UK feeds include:

  • Jupix — Widely used letting agent software
  • BLM — Property management platform
  • Aspasia — Letting management system
  • RTDF — Rightmove data format
  • Veco — Property management software

Contracts

UK agents can send tenancy agreements to students for electronic signature through DocuSign, all managed within the Housr platform.

Authentication

UK users have specific sign-in options suited to the market, which may differ from the US app.
