Bills Management

What it does — Admins configure and oversee the Housr bills product, which lets students pay for household utilities (gas, electricity, water, broadband, TV licence) in a single monthly payment. This includes setting up pricing, managing coverage areas, overseeing student sign-ups, and resolving billing issues.

How it works

  1. Navigate to the Bills section in the Portal
  2. Key responsibilities include:
    • Pricing configuration — Set and update bills package pricing for different property sizes and regions
    • Area management — Define which cities and postcodes are eligible for the bills product
    • Student sign-ups — Monitor and manage student subscriptions, including approvals and cancellations
    • Meter readings — Oversee meter reading submissions from students and flag any discrepancies
    • Billing issues — Investigate and resolve payment problems, failed direct debits, or disputed charges
    • Partner properties — Manage which properties have bills partnership arrangements with their agents
  3. Review overall bills performance — active subscriptions, revenue, and regional coverage
