What it does — Agents and students can communicate directly through in-app chat. A chat room is created for each property enquiry, keeping conversations organised and easy to follow. Messages sent through the platform are also delivered as email notifications, so nothing gets missed.

How it works
- When a student enquires about a property, a chat room is created linking the student and the agent for that specific property
- The agent can view and respond to messages in the Portal
- The student can view and respond to messages in the Housr app or via email
- Each message triggers an email notification to the other party, so conversations continue even if someone is not logged in
- Agents can manage multiple chat rooms at once — one per student per property
- The full conversation history is preserved, making it easy to pick up where things left off
