Notifications & Drops

What it does — Admins send push notification campaigns to students through the Housr app. Notifications can be targeted by city, university, or user segment, making it easy to reach the right audience with relevant updates, promotions, or announcements.

How it works

1. Navigate to the Notifications section in the Portal
2. Create a new notification campaign
3. Write the notification content — title and message body
4. Choose the target audience:
   • All students — Send to everyone
   • By city — Reach students in a specific city
   • By university — Target students at a particular institution
   • By segment — Filter by user attributes such as sign-up date, activity level, or feature usage
5. Schedule the notification for immediate delivery or a specific date and time
6. Review and confirm — the notification is sent to students’ devices
7. Track delivery and engagement metrics after the notification goes out
